I have had my Asus K501J for over a year now. The Virtual Camera program does not and has not ever worked. When I click on it, I get a screen that asks me if I want to make changes. I click on yes and then get an icon on the lower right hand side of my screen. I click on that icon and nothing happens. What exactly is "virtual camera"? Is it like the program that my sons have on their Mac's, the kind of program where you can make funny/crazy pictures? I have installed the drivers three times and still nothing happens. Can someone please tell me about this program and how to fix it? Thank you in advance. :D

Barbara, welcome to the forum , Right click the icon in the systay- setings - camera device list - hit the down arrow, are you able to select your web came here? If so click apply. Then click device setting - you should see properties and various settings.
Virtual camera only lets you adjust settings, then you have to use other apps like skype, or ASUS utiltiy- Life Frame - you should see whatever is in front of your camera on your computer.

    Josea,

Thank you for your help. I did not realize that virtual camera was just for camera settings. I thought it was a program for taking pictures. Once again, thank you. :D
