Finally another 15,6" notebook that is lighter (1.7kg) and more compact than the average over 2kg bombers.
Really dont know why its taking the companies ages to develop more portable 15" laptops.
Only Samsung with its 900 series & LG gram force the around 1kg area.
Good to see, that at least another manufacturer is trying to go in this direction.

Hoping the battery is at least 60w, the screen is matte and a finally good soundsystem, that doesnt make your ears bleed with a tin can sound, like the usual contenders.
A dedicated 2,5" slot besides the m.2 is a great addition..
But again no dark finish, argh..

so this IS a matte 15,6 FHD screen with only 1.5kg, yay..

So what is the VivoBook S? It’s a $499 laptop in a 17.9mm-thick vaguely MacBook-Pro-ish aluminum case with up to a Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GTX 940MX GPU inside. The 15-inch screen didn’t look great in my brief time with the laptop, but the specs aren’t bad for the price.

It is available with a 512GB SSD !!!
