After purchasing a 550CB, I wanted to be able to reproduce the factory SSD caching for the model without all the bloatware that came with the laptop. It came with 20GB SSD that was used for Intel's Rapid Start technology and the boot time was less than 5 seconds.
I borrowed a windows 8.1 Enterprise DVD from my friend,i thought i can skip the update from windows 8 to 8.1 from the windows store and save some time.
I formatted the hdd and the ssd,on the oem the ssd was only used for caching and the hdd was used for the windows installation.
Now I'm on a fresh windows 8.1 install all the drivers worked fine except for the intel rapid storage technology,i can't change the sata configuration in the bios to irst even after the installation of the drivers.
In the IRST application i can view the ssd and the hhd but there is no acceleration tab to make the ssd usable for caching.
    can anyone help me.
    Thank you.
