ok so now I have got Vista Ultimate 32bit. Not all of the drivers that are on asus' website work. The buttons on the right of my keyboard that change system speed, turn wireless on/off and play media etc do not work, neither does the fn volume and lcd buttons either. And Vista does not like Power 4 Gear Extreme and doesnt like to cool it down.

    Help!!

I suspect your ATK drivers and utilities are not installed correctly. I think in Vista you need:
    - ATK drivers
    - ATK Hotkey
    - ATK OSD
from the website. The first is the driver and is essential for controlling fan speed, CPU clock and so on -- its lacking is the reason for which P4G extreme is not working and your computer is very hot; probably the CPU is locked at its highest multiplier (clock).

The second and third are responsible for the hotbuttons.

Did you try to install those from ASUS support? If yes and they don't work, post back.
