    Asus W2V and Windows Update

    I did the Windows Update recently and it had a driver update for the graphics card. When it rebooted it came up in 640X480, any idea why M$ would give out a bad driver?

    I did this several times and it was definitely no good. Reinstalling the official ASUS one worked fine.

    ^ That's what I would suggest...looks like you already did it though.

    There's also Omega drivers but it's been said that they can lead to heat issues.

    EDIT: Looks from the other thread that you're already having heating issues...did it happen after this update?

    Please use the original driver CD to reinstall a driver that comes from the box, don't forget to uninstall the updated driver first. After installing it, it should work fine.

    Make sure you're not in the "Presentation" mode in Power4Gear.......
