Hi, I just got one lovely Asus W2v, I love it!
I would like to upgrade the memory to 2gb(2x1gb), can someone tell me which brand is better? I am trying to get the fastest memory possible for this model.
    Thanks in advance.

When dealing with DDR2 533 ---- there isn't yet any specific gaming memory that we can suggest. We've always backed Corsair and have used them exclusively in our laptops since March of this year... I would highly recommend their sticks.

Thanks a lot for your advice, I just checked around and actually I found two models:

    CORSAIR Model #: CMSS1GB-533SOD (for around $160)

    and

    CORSAIR Model #: VS1GSDS533D2 (for $80)

    both are 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200), what a difference! why? any better?

    Thanks :)

This is easy... the first one is what Corsair calls their "system select" model.. this is for "upgrading". The second one is what we use for 1gb dimms and they are considered their "value select" model.. this is for "system building". I'd go with the value select because for the price of the system select, they should be selling their XMS2 (which is their performance memory)..... That's not out yet and won't be for months at least....... you're not getting any quality or performance difference between the two you've looked at.
