I have been using mine for 2 years. I just bought another year of warranty because I think 3rd year is when most electronic fails.

The laptop has been working great as I use it mostly for school. I still think it looks really attractive. I'm still loving the design. Yet at the same time, I have an urge to upgrade to a new laptop. Anyone having trouble letting go of an Asus laptop?

There's nothing in Asus' current lineup that comes close to the quality and build of the legacy W3 series, esp in the smaller formfactors.

If you're looking for something new, in the same size, Asus may not be right anymore :(.

I have recently moved to an F8, to be honest, the build quality is a few notches under the original W3 design. However, you will also notice a lot of familiar features and design aspects that would keep you at home. Don't get me wrong, the build quality isn't poor at all, it's just that most of the casing will be made with plastic instead of carbon fiber composite or aluminum. Other than that, the unit is still quite sturdy and well built. This is coming from a previous and still a W3 owner.
