Hi everyone,
About a while back, I upgraded to vista, everything was fine. Everything worked.
But recently the hotkeys would not work. I phoned asus, and they told me to uninstall completely splendid, audio driver, atk osd, atk media, and atk hotkey.
I did.
I afterwards installed the driver in the website ATK_Vista32_070313_2. This is suppose to be the utility that permits the w3j to run the hotkeys.
Install was successfull as declared by the program, and restarted the notebook.
afterwards, i noticed that the keys that do not work anymore is the audio fn keys under f10-12, the splendid key on the right of the w3j the power setting changer on the right,.
Does anyone have a resolution for this.
Should I uninstall the ATK 1000utilty again, if so how this time. As it is not listed in the program uninstall list of vista nor your uninstaller. I see the folder under windows.
Can anyone please help me get the audio fn keys and the splendid keys workings, as I find it annoying that they don't do what they are meant to do.![]()

I believe I fixed it, the problem was that there was 2 Hcontrol.exe files placed in my notebook. One in the windows directory and one in program files. I needed to uninstall atkhotkey and delete the hcontrol.exe from windows folder and reinstall.
so far all good.
just providing an update on my situation. -
Hi Latino, do you use ZoneAlarm Security Suite (vista edition) by any chance? I found that ZASS causes problem related to the Splendid features.
