Finally decided to upgrade my W3J to Windows 7.... unfortunately Asus stopped driver support for the W3J at Vista. Its taken me a cpl weeks but I finally got everything working perfectly including all side buttons. I know this is and older notebook, but figured there had to be some ppl out there who's W3J's are still going strong, so I uploaded all of the drivers in one place.

    Part 1

    Part 2

    Part 3

When installing the drivers, please do so in the order number of the folders and restart after each one.

There is a folder called "Asus Utilities" that has Splendid, P4G, and Wireless Console... I have verified that each of these work for the W3J, but would recommend only installing Splendid, as Windows 7 does a great job of power management on its own (unless you want the power side button functionality), and Wireless Console seems sort of pointless.

While these worked perfectly for me, I can't guarantee the same for you, and take no responsibility if they don't work or cause any problems.

You must have the 211 bios installed for Windows 7. The pack includes a modified bios file, if you don't need it, or don't know if you do, then DO NOT INSTALL it. It is much safer to download the original 211 bios directly from Asus which is found here

I also have my W3J working with W7 64bit, took a while to get all the drivers, but it works, so if you need 64bit drivers, let me know.

jjintn, thankyou for being a total bad a$$ and uploading those :)

My 2nd W3J hard drive self-destructed today and i've decided to do a major overhaul. (Love the old beast as much as I "should" be upgrading to a new laptop). Putting in x2 4gb sims, have the T7600 Core2 processor on it's way and a SATA to EIDE converter for an SSD drive. She's gonna cook! :D :D :D

NZwaverider, any chance you still got those extra drivers for 64bit? I don't need the side controls or software, just the core drivers for chipset, video, ect. Thanks in advance :)

Well after using the help guide to find out what convoluted steps were required to PM someone I was given a lack of privileges error. yaaaay :)

    My email is - *edit-removed*
Just remove the special characters and change (at) for @, that should shake the bots.

    In recent news...
I bought the Intel Core 2 Duo T7600
    a Lite-on IT Corp 128GB SSD
and a sata to EIDE adapter

Soon to come, 8GBs of RAM :D *edit-The w3j chipset only has addresses for 4gb, returned for 2x2GB Kingston HyperX*

What do you suggest, to install 32 or 64 bit?
If 64, can I also please get the drivers?
    Appreciate your help.
