Just recently, I have started encountering a very odd problem. I like to keep my laptop at the nice resolution of 1280x768. However, when I unplug my computer, then plug it back in, it pops up with "AC Mode" and then the screen blinks a couple times. After the second blink, the resolution is set to 1024x768. Any ideas what's going on here? This problem isn't critical, of course, but it is very annoying.

That's very odd. What video card drivers are you using ? Try the 8.2 ATI mobility drivers. I remember having weird LCD issues with older video card drivers, so they may be the culprit here.

    Good luck.

Actually, I already am using the 8.2 ATI mobility drivers. Thankfully, however, I figured out how to fix it. It was a problem with the Power4Gear software that comes with the Asus W3J. Once I disabled "Auto Performance" in the Power4Gear options, it stopped having the problem. Very odd.
