man, why does engadget link to pcmag for a 5 very short paragraph/superficial review with no real pics when there's much longer and more in depth user reviews on sites such as this that were posted long ago. Engadget needs to open their eyes -- so much for those punksters being up to the minute and cutting edge, way behind the curve fellas.

thanks for the links though, it's always good to see what others are saying.

Hmm, thanks for the link, but the pcmag site doesn't seem to work for me. Or is it just me?

Ye thats right they have nothing on notebookreview. I would feel the same way abaxter. Thats like putting salt on wounds or in this case like adding tiny bit of mustard into lots of grey poupon. :asus:

I just ordered a Z63a, and I will try to write a review when it comes since I noticed that NBR does not have one for that laptop, and I figure that a lot of people are looking at it as a cheap alternative to the W3V.

NBR blows away PCMag in terms of comprehensive reviews. PCMag basically just reread the spec sheet in paragraph form.

    I wholeheartedly agree.

In doing my research for my laptop purchase, NBR and notebookforums.com were indespensible. CNet was okay (mainly b/c of the customer reviews/comments), but PCMag et al were quite skimpy, and worried more about having catchy conclusions or titles than any depth to their "reviews."
