I'm going to buy Asus W3j which is released here in Sweden the 24th and equip it with 2 GB of RAM. The cheapest SO-DIMM PC5300/667MHz DDR2 memory I could find was TwinMos. Is there any known compability issues with TwinMos memory and W3j? The second cheapest is Corsair Value, I could go for that to, if I must. :)

The RAM is a very crucial component of computer and it's one part you shouldn't go cheap on. (just to be safe)
If I were you, I'd go for the Corsair... :)

there used to be a batch of twinmos ram for desktop that was excellent for overclocking if that means anything to you

You may or may not care, but one other thing tobe aware of is that since the W3J is an ensemble, changing out DRAM could affect your warranty. I'd ask the reseller you bought from to make sure, it warranty matters to you.

rookie06: Didn't think about that. Will email some resellers and see what they will say about it.

Changing the ram will not void the warranty. If you send it in for repairs just swap them ram back like it was from the factory.

Good call. Definitely keep the old DRAM around to do this. I haven't had experience with ASUS on this, but other companies will not honor a warranty if they find non-stock components in it when it's shipped back.

Some resellers though will service modifications they make, so if your reseller is swapping out the DRAM for you (even though this is an ASUS ensemble and not 'built on ASUS') then check into their service offerings.
