Hi,
Just curious, I have one of the older modeled ones, and noticed the the newer ones have a DVD burner. Is there any way to get my upgraded (manual install) to the DVD burner?
As well... anyone know offhand which battery pack that the model comes with here in NA? MeThinks its the 6cell (as it sticks out 1/2inch). Was thinking of ordering the 9cell (Any idea how long that one lasts?)
Also, anyone know if the PortDock works for the w5? Or is there even a docking station option for the W5.
Thanks
ps. i wish i had time to wait for the W5F...DualCore...DvdBurner.... sigh...

You can upgrade to a dvd burner. You used to able to use the one from the v6v i believe and could prob just order the 4x burner for that. Just have to change the faceplate. Ask justin from proportable email him he will hook u up.

1. You can get a dvd burner for it, but you're looking at $300-350 for the 4x in the new units and quantity is super low.... we had some but asus won't sell any more because they need to save them for possible repairs
2. yours would have come with a 6 cell....... the 9 cell is a great unit, but till stick out about 1 1/2 inches.
3. the port bar is made for a dedicated proprietary jack... which the W5 doesn't have. -
Cant he get the Old 2x burners for cheaper?
