    I ordered my Asus W5A 1.73ghz from Melbourne,Australia about 1 month ago.

My store has continaully delayed the arrival of my laptop. After 2 weeks from the day i purchased it, they said that i'm getting the older model (400mhz) and suggested i pay $50 and get the newer model (533mhz) so i agreed.

They then said it would take about 1-2 weeks for it to ship from overseas. I waited 2 weeks.

Then they said it woudl take a few days to ship from Sydney, Australia to Melbourne, Australia. It has been that 2 days and still waiting.

Now they are saying it is bad shipment and may take another few weeks or so. Is there something wrong with the Asus W5A stock? Any suggestions? :asus:

    Thanks

... You're getting screwed, plain and simple. Taiwan is no further from you than the US and a couple weeks is all that's needed for shipping by sea. We're looking at them just getting a model that we've had in the US for 6 months now? What are they charging you for it? There's no shortage here in the states.

I'm with Justin on this one - you're getting screwed. I worked with an IT company that whips out that excuse whenever something's not right. At most, 5% of the time it's true. More likely is that they messed up their order or something along those lines.

You'd be giving them the benefit of the doubt if you think they screwed up an order and recieved the wrong stuff... instead of maybe thinking they never recieved it yet to begin with. I learned a long time ago if that is the case (the wrong stuff shipped).... take pictures to prove it....... you can only cry wolf so many times before people stop believing you.
