I've got cracks in both top corners of the lcd surround on my W5A. I originally saw they were tiny, and 1mm or so, but recently have got so bad a chunk came out. I've carefully glued it all back together now but wondering if anyone else had this problem?
The laptop never travels, it just lives on my on my desk, and haven't mistreated it. I saw a few posts on the ASUSTeK support forum. Wondering if this is common, and whether anyone else has had luck getting it replaced under warranty. I think mine is almost up.

I haven't tried to get it repaired yet, I can just imagine the hassle they will give me trying to get out of fixing it.. saying I dropped it or something. Even then they'll probably want to hang on to it for weeks. The first one I got was DOA, and it took them a fortnight to confirm that (try switching it on!).

do you have some pics? It doesnt make sense. I can believe cracks in the bottom of the screen where the hinges are due to stress but i ve not heard this before from customers or around the forum.
