PC World did a review on it a while ago (although the extra bettary is typically included, far as I can tell) here:
    http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,131031/article.html

    PC Mag has one here:

Near as I can tell, however, most of the above were performed on prototype units, not final versions.

    Hope that helps...

Fairly impressed; performance is good, although when in "High Performance" mode the unit tends to get a little hot on the right side with air blowing out of the right side.

SideShow is cool- unfortunately, there are only about 16 or so "gadgets" available for it so far- the Woot one is cool though. Most typical use for it is as a Media Player- since the SideShow unit has its own 512MB of flash, you can sync it up with WMP and use it as a MP3 player without booting up the laptop.

Keyboard is decent, although I prefer the Sony SZ series' keybaord for its larger key size. Also, the FN button is in the corner, as opposed to the CTRL button, which I prefer.

Touchpad is different- it has a textured feel to it. I'm still unsure if I love it or hate it. Using it is definitely more comfortable for short usage. It when you use it for a long period that my fingerpad tends to get slightly sore. I find that I am getting used to this though, and I guess my fingerpad is too, after three weeks of use.

The integrated swivel cam is cool, and works too. I was at a seminar recently and wanted to record it; flipped the cam, hit record, and boom!

Actual feel and heft is lighter and smaller than I expected. Carrying and moving from place to place makes me delighted at it's footprint more and more each day.

A major tick-off is the way it opens. There is no easy, quick, one handed way to open the lid. You need to push up with one hand on the "camera" lip that projects slightly outward, and with another hand hold a side. Why can't we have auto-assisted lids???

USB ports are a pleasure- one on every side except for the front. This has come in handy more times than I can count. I'm a little bummed that there aren't media control keys on the front or side for pausing and playing music while the laptop is open; SideShow works for this while the lid is closed, but isn't much use when its open (althoug it does power on and work, reaching and seeing the SShow controls presents somewhat of a problem).

The speakers are decent- not too great, not too bad. Video plays smoothly, athough if more than three or four intensive apps are open, tends to get jerky when in one of the low power modes.

Overall, I am happy with it and have three serious issues that have me looking for a trade:

    1) No docking port for a docking cradle
    2) Lid is a pain to open
    3) I'm a gadget freak who is always changing :D

Well, that's all for now folks.

Haven't clocked it specifically- but the 3 cell (standard battery) is horrible.

You'll probably end up using the extended regularly, although it's always nice to have a backup battery.
