The new Asus W90Vp-X1 has been released by NewEgg, and it looks like a great machine. Some are waiting, however, for news on other models in the line: if Asus follows past practice there should be both A1 and A2 models with upgraded specs. Here's the place to post any info you have on these models such as detailed specifications, pricing, and availability.

"The bad: Generic OEM design; gigantic chassis; smallish keyboard compared with its size."
I can't believe this comment.. generic oem design... w90 is the best looking laptop I ever saw ..

I would take Cnet reviews with a grain of salt. They're opinions are usually very iffy IMO and their reviews are extremely "generic".

I dont know how sites like cnet stay alive, there reviews are pure rubbish on all accounts.

Often when I google a product review cnet is one of the first search results and I never click it as I know its a waist of time.

I guess due to the popular demands, Asus sold cnet a w90 instead of giving them one for the review.. hahaha..

I upgraded from the G50V to the W90, I did not like the G50 at all at first but it grew on me, but the W90 was instant love, no need to grow on me. It looks much better.

Sleeker, better built, more professional, more neutral, just all around better in every way. Between the looks and the quad core cpu thats what drove me to upgrade.

I have been wanting this for a long time,i sold my dell xps 16 and hp touchsmart tx2z to get it,i have been looking everywhere but both the W90Vp-X1 & the W90Vp-A1 are sold out,but by luck i found the X2 which has the same specs as the A1,the only 2 differences are the HD is only 320 instead of 640 and it has the super-multi drive instead of blu-ray,i can live without those, A being i would never use that much drive space B i don't own any blu-rays and i could care less.Plus it makes it $200-$300 cheaper,i got it for$2199,it's everything I've always wanted and more and right now holds the title of being one of the fastest laptops in the world, you could order an Alienware or another custom pc and this would still out perform it.i know,my cousin recently spent over $4000 on a custom Alienware and it is still not as fast as mine! :D :D :D It is one Beautiful Powerful piece of machinery!

Where? The cheapest I could find this was on Newegg for $2,249.00.

I assume you can add a second HDD later right?
