When I install a game in my W90Vp-A1, it takes like 30 mins to load in a game. VERY slow load times while installing. Anyone else have this problem?

That sounds about right... an optical drive is super slow compared to a hard drive, and you're probably loading up 10GB games from DVDs.

Depending on the file size, the installation process can take quite a while.

How did you OC your A1 to 2.8Ghz? Also, I'm only loading 1 DVD game (C&C3) which can't be more than 4.7GB on 1 DVD. That only took maybe 10 mins on my old system with a standard DVD drive. Is this BluRay that much slower? I'm only talking about loading the data from the DVD to the HD. Not the complete install time.

Actually C&C3 is on a dual layer DVD, so it can be up to 8.5GB.
    Plus there's decompression time...
And yeah, laptop optical drives are generally slower than desktop ones.

    I use setFSB program.
Overclocking 2.8ghz is not that stable but 2.6ghz seems very stable.
    :)

I tried setSFB to OC. All I did was move the slider one click to the right and as soon as I hit the 'Set' button, my A1 locked up and had to cold start my system. I checked my BIOS screen on bootup and didn't see any Vcore setting (thinking I had to raise the voltage to OC like I did on my desktop system). Can you tell me or is there a guild on how to use setFSB on the Asus W90Vp-A1? Thanks for the help.
