The Asus World magazine is available on Asus's website (available for everyone :)) I usually make a thread when a new edition comes out since it's easier for everyone else to see. ;)

That N43 is rather ambitious if it will really have a high-end GeForce 400 series card. Unless it's actually a midrange card, that will be probably be a lot of heat to deal with in a 14", especially if it's a Fermi.

Overall, little has changed since the Mar/Apr magazine it seems. The U35JC is probably the biggest bit of news here.

All the ultralights and netbooks are making me drool.

I'm not overly impressed with their G-series at the moment.

Well...perhaps Asus needs to spend a little less time redrawing their fancy World Magazine every month...and start actually producing some of these new notebooks.

I believe most of these computers have been shown, and specs sheets released, since basically the start of the year...

    Asus proved it again !

They only release laptops on their magazines. What happened to those which were released in Mar/Apr magazine. They should first release what they have committed in their Mar/Apr magazine. Just wait for 365 days more and you can actually order the model you like, if they will release that too.

I wonder what the difference in gpu power is between the asus u30jc and the u35jc. The former has the nvidia gt310m with 512mb memory, while the latter has the nvidia gt310m with 1gb of memory. Can anyone answer this?

On the standard 1366x768 screen, you won't see the difference at all. At a larger resolution, the 310M won't cut it whether you have 512MB or 1GB.

So they changed the name to N53JN...
More importantly. Release date when? :( HP already announced it's Envy14, and I personally never liked the Keyboard design of envy. But it's the best thing I could get in the near future.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising that asus is going to start making a business line, but I'm still a bit surprised for some reason. Disappointed that they still see fit to stick nvidia gpu's into their g5/6 series when a 5850 would run much better...

Frustrated that the final variants of the Bamboo series don't seem to have backlit keyboards, and that the 13" model doesn't seem to come with a Core i7-620 option. I still hope it will work if purchased and installed after market, and that GenTech/Xotic etc.. will at least try installing one themselves to see if it is something they can offer their customers.

I do like the Aluminum Eee as well a the Multitouch model, which may give an iPad a run for its money if it is thin enough and cheap enough. The 1201 series looks pretty neat too, and the dual core Atom + ION certainly is a nice setup. Still, I learned my lesson with my N10J that even with discrete graphics, the Atom processor is what is really holding you back.

Glad to see the Eee Keyboard is finally making its debut, but I'm really skeptical about the "Ultra Wide Band" wireless display tech that can connect to "Any" Tv. I just don't see how that is going to work with even many current HDTV models. The idea is great, but I wouldn't mind having cables as an option as well for all of us who didn't buy a HDTV in the past 6 months. Still, it could be a very cool media center control PC.

As Jordan said, Asus needs to get these notebooks OUT for purchase. They've been talking about them since the beginning of the year, and this much lead time is frustrating.

I'm liking that the UL20 was finally updated to Arrandale, just needs better Core i5 and Core i7 options.

Keep in mind that the Asus catalog is global and most of the products in there will never reach their smallest market: the US.

FusionZ706: there's a big difference between "announced" products and "released" products. Often items released elsewhere are not released at the same time in the US by Asus.

Yeah I'm just going off what Engadget said originally of a May 13th release.
