My catalogue should be in the mail, thanks for the upload!

Is it just me, or does that A42ja have a Radeon 5790? 14.1"?

I think it will still be released though. It may be just a hunch but if you look at the current asus 1218p and the n series, which are also aluminum, its very likely asus will release a 12 inch aluminum netbook ^^

I'm just wondering if it will be worth the wait, since my classes have already begun. I'm sure the current 1215 would suit my needs just fine, but i'm also sure that I would regret my purchase as soon as the 1218 would come out.

Wouldn't it be great if like Dell, you could go onto the Asus website and buy any model that was available and spec it to how you want it (i.e. high res screen+best CPU+GPU) I guess it costs more, but imagine how much more they could sell.

I know one of the Asus resellers in London he said the last 14" Asus notebook they sold was fat and did not sell well, so now Asus are not gong to release any 14" notebooks in the near future in the UK??? ridiculous!

Anyhow i'm waiting for the N43 with i7 CPU + 435 GPU to be released.....hopefully in the states, but Singapore would be ok, the N43 i5 model is already selling in Singapore.

Again, disappointing news with Eee and their downgraded crap 0.3MP webcam (except the 1008, which has only two fugly colors). /end rant

Looked at that magazine and wondering if these are typos.

    1. N43 has a GT435M but N53 only has 425M.
    2. N61JV has weak GPUs but the DA (AMD version) has the 5730
    3. K42JA has a 5730.
    4. A42JA has a 5730.

And why is the GPU dept in the N53 so damn weak? That should be able to support a high midrange card (58xx, 57xx, or at least 5650) unless the 425M can cut the mustard.

I would go for the N61JV if it had the 5730 [and allow for switchable graphics]. But I don't know if that even exists anywhere in the US. Plus, is there any serious issues with the N61?
