    Asus X205TA Windows Activation issue

    I'm having issues activating Windows on this newly purchased Asus X205TA machine. Upon activating Windows, it's giving me an Error Code: 0xC004F012, the software licensing service reported that the call has failed because the value for the input key was not found. When I try entering another serial key, there are no available CDkey to enter. Please help.

    It may have been a temporary setback on Microsoft's end. Is your laptop currently activated with the key you mentioned, and are you still receiving that message? (If so, you may need to contact Microsoft support.)

    I called both Asus and Microsoft and ended up returning the machine. They said something messed up in the recovery partition.

    Never heard of the recovery image conflicting with activation. Well, whatever caused it, I hope you end up with something you like and that is fully working. :)
