My laptop is asus x53 series . Originally Previous OS was Window Vista Premium. Everything was working perfectly. and after upgrading Windows xp service pack 3 everything IS working properly except the ” Sound Card”.
I went to computer management and I clicked on the option of Device Management , their I saw that the “Sound and Devices” had a sign of yellow circle with ! in it.

I went on Asus.com website but it was not working and saw several websites to install the driver but I couldn’t.

Could you help me to resolve this problem.

the Asus X53 uses realtek speakers. Try download the high def audio codec drive directly from the Realtek website. When you install the driver, make sure to right-click and run as administrator.
