    Hey, new here!

So after my old 5 year old POS, PacBell K5305 couldn't be repaired I got my vouchers and ventured to PC world to pickup a new laptop of decent spec, this Asus was the best deal in the price range. It seems like a good laptop however I looked over one thing and it is becoming a pain... Vista or more, the lack of XP support and I just can't have this.

First issue was that XP install couldn't find any HD's, so I spent a couple of hours downloading driver packs and modifying my XP install, now I've got it installed however none of the components work. (I did this through one of the posts on this forum, thanks alot!)

Does anyone own this and if so have you tried XP? I did see on another forum someone said they had XP drivers but im not so sure of that.

I'm going to mail my thoughts on this to Asus in the meantime.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

Edit: Most of it seems to be installing OK...
