    Hey there,

I wanted to replace my keyboard with one that actually lights up and was almost successful. One, I accidentally ripped the ribbon for the LEDs which isn't a big deal, i'll just get another but what really got me confused was that when i tried to type with the replacement (bought from ebay) it would type, just not the character im pressing if that makes any sense. Basically it was like each key was mapped to a different number or letter and was really really off.

How do i fix that? Is it a software related problem or is it the keyboard itself?
    This is the replacement:

Im started to think that i'd have to get a k53s compatible keyboard but i dont know how they work so someone please shed some light on this :) Thanks so much!
