    Hi all,

got a new X53U notebook recently, all working fine but I have a question regarding the CPU speeds/speed steps for the AMD Brazos E450 it is fitted with.

Will this CPU only operate at three speeds (825/1320/1650mhz) and nothing in between?

I ask because no matter where I set min & max processor states in Windows 7 the chip will only clock to one of the above three speeds.

I made a custom power plan to suit my needs and on battery had the max CPU state set at 50% so I would assume that that would allow the chip to clock up to approx 1237mhz but it will not clock to that speed. Instead it remained at 825mhz.

Is this corrrect behavior for this CPU?
