    Hello all,

I was thinking of moving to windows XP on my laptop but i'm not sur for it as I like the Windows 7 installed on it but would like it too eat less RAM (I don't know if i'm too caring of it)

What do yo recommend me? Also I know that Asus do not offer drivers for XP for that laptop but I think I could search for it on other website as most of them are intel components

Thanks in advance for any help

Downgrading to XP will not solve the problem you pose. XP can't address 4GB RAM except with 64-bit version, and that was well known back then to be a nightmare of stability.

Recommendation = leave it alone. W7 is a far better OS than XP ever was.

To delay the startup of any software when you boot Windows, you're going to need a boot manager or boot optimization software.

Use google to locate one that meets your specific needs.

Asus Fastboot will do what you're looking for.

It can delay programs AND services for a period of a few seconds, when loading Windows.
