    I was thinking about purchasing this model from best buy, but had a few questions that someone can hopefully answer.
    1. one of the two descriptions that best buy gives states it has an led display. is this true?
    2. when i played with the model at the store, you could turn bluetooth on. i could not pair it with anything, it kept saying check bluetooth connection (or something like that). of course the salesman said it has it, but the website says no.
    3. i could not find any info on express gate and this laptop, and of course the salesman did not even know what i was talking about. (in fact, he did not even know they had this laptop) i would like the functionality of this b/c i do a lot of traveling and just need to check emails quickly.
    4. this laptop is going to be used for mostly work stuff, but some light gaming. what are ur opinions on this particular model. i am trying to stay under a $1,000.
    5. What is the maximum about of ram? one salesman stated all laptops w/ vista can go up to 16 gb, but they only way to tell if a computer supports it was to try it. another one stated he was not sure, but did not think it was 16 gb.

    2. Usually BB ASUS models don't have bluetooth to save on costs, so I would be inclined to say that it doesn't have it. But the hotkey working is strange, maybe the ATK Hotkey believed for some reason that BT is installed.

    3. I don't know. Why didn't you try booting ExpressGate? I think the laptops that have it, have a dedicated hotbutton for it.

    thanks for the fast response! sorry about not posting a link. every time i try, it says i am not allowed to do so until i have made 15 or more posts.
    2. the hotkey (dedicated button on keyboard, right?) was what was confusing me. i am fine w/ it not having bluetooth b/c i can get a adapter for less than $20. is there a way to find out for sure? if it does not have it, can u change the function of the hotkey?
    3. i tried to boot in epxressgate by pushing the button with the circle and lighting bolt. the bios screen looked different, but then it booted in windows. of course the salesman had no clue. again, is there a way to tell for sure? do you think bb could/would have that function disabled? if so, would there be a way to turn it on?

    The picture in the linked thread doesn't show a sticker for Bluetooth. But, if it does have a Bluetooth adapter, it should appear in the device manager if the adapter is turned on. I have only briefly played with one Bluetooth device. From memory I had to install an extra driver of some sort before it would pair properly.

    I am almost sure it doesn't have it. If it does and it's not installed it should be in the Device Manager with a question mark. Also see the other threads on the model, I think people have already bought it and will be able to confirm on the BT issue.

    As to remapping the key, have a look at ASUS Notebook Keys (link "Customize hotkeys" in Info Booth).
