i didnt read the 8pm eastern whoops. I read your review of it eddie. how can this laptop get 4 hours of light use and the w7 gets like 2.5. a video card should not use that much power.

There is a very good explanation for this. SOmeone somewhere will figure it out. I honestly dont know why i just know i played life is beatiful dvd over and over for almost 3 hours @ 100% brightness. Beats me why w7j cant do that. I doubt its the video card tho. Same battery. I did have wifi and bt diabled while playing.

That does make sense. However i did get about 3 hours max out of it my self. If you mean 3 hour average then that is a big improvement.

Every time I fire up the next video when you post it, Eddie, it reinforces to me how great a concept this was and how much of a service that this is providing to Asus shoppers. When you can't get your little fingers on one to see it this is the next best thing, since photos only do so much justice to the models. Kudos twice!

If I hadn't picked up my Z63 from you last winter (which I still love, by the way) I would seriously have been on the verge of getting a W7, but the Z35 is one tempting and sleek piece of hardware too. It looks like this is Asus almost going back a bit to last year's approach of using the Ensemble chassis for the BOA equivalent, which they were moving away from in the Z62 model. I wonder how it's going to sell......
