found this from a UK based reseller. not too many pics, but from what we have, I really like the direction Asus' whitebook models are going this year.. especially compared to those offered last year!

Indeed, their barebones are making a comeback, I spoke with the ASUS rep for N.A. and he mentioned the 'revival' of the barebones, no more generic looking ones.
-
is that what you do in your spare time cori? call asus reps?
is it me, or does the glossy lid have some sort of textured pattern to it? or is that just the lighting? -
i don't see a textured pattern.
might be wrong though. the new barebones look awesome! i'm curious about the potential specs on that z37.
*edit: oops - just went to the website and i see the specs there. 4.8 hrs battery life with an optical drive (potential expansion battery slot?) seems like a decent ultraportable to me. -
isnt the c90 the one with the desktop cpu?
-
Are you poking fun at me?
But nah, I got a chance to speak to one while I was at MPC's store a while back
Just happened to be at the right place at the right time
-
here's hoping they release a 9cell for it, so it can break 7hours maybe?..looks like i might wait for that rather than picking up a z35 now
i don't think that battery life is with the optical battery since there's no mention of hot-swapping in the description -
found more pics of the c90s on a Taiwanese site
the "changeable" video card?
-
Good find, Goren. Looks like there's also a fingerprint reader... which is a cool feature I'd love to have (whether or not it works properly).
I want a Z37! -
Very nice find, but the graphics card perplexes me slightly. I remember reading on AnandTech's CES coverage that the Z37 had a Go8400 DX10 GPU, whereas here it reads Intel GM945....
-
I want a C90 :::>_<::: But currently impossible to find barebone notebooks in France, helpppppp! Does anyone know if it's still possible to have one? I mean with french keyboard, french power adaptor, etc... Etc... ?
-
z37 looks AWESOME!
I would love to see some more pics of this! -

asus barebones may be making a come back in terms of aesthetics and design now that intel vbi went under (in less then a year) but they will still be underpowered in terms of graphics. asus is making a point of making ensembles better then barebones in every aspect
-
The changeable graphic card picture is kinda like the one on my Chassis Z84J, it doesn't look like it's from C90 or other model.
Those model looks tigh, They looks professional like V1 series and other business class series now.
Thanks for more pix. -
If the Z37 has an 8400, I think I *finally* found my new laptop. I suppose it would be too much to ask that it has a 1440x900 screen?
-
Yes, there aren't any WXGA+ 13" notebook screens out there, as far as I know.
-
Yes it is.
-
are you serious? that kinda kills it for me.....
-
Unfortunately it's not, but it'll be a 256MB card.
-
Wait, so its just a 256MB version of the Intel GMA (950, 3000?) or is it a 256MB dedicated card that isnt the 8400?
-
I see it too, looks like skidmarks? Anyways, wow I can't wait for this. It has everything I've been waiting for, wireless-n, upgradeable graphics, 2.0m camera, 15.4", fingerprint reader, and much more. Any info on release date?
-
It's non of above.
-
Whats the dedicated graphics card in the z37?
-
Isn't it just a reflection of something in the room?
-
Does anyone have any Idea of a time frame for the Z37 of when it may be released in NA?

This is the pattern on c90.
-
it looks like the hp imprint design....
-
Oooohhh, HDMI and eSATA ports
-
Anyone knows which GPU will the C90 comes with? Also is there any chance for upgrading to a 8700/8800 using that MXM?
-
It's still too early to tell. Just wait a bit...
-
Looking at the size and thickness of the machine, I doubt an 8800 will ever find itself in there. A 8600 probably has a better chance though.

I just talked to Asus NA whitebox PM last night, he said C90 will be in the market end of May, Z37 will be end of June, plus the current Z84 and Z96, there is no plan for other models now. -
Ouchhhhhh. They said end of March! Any idea why there is such a delay? Maybe Santa Rosa? But the C90 is using a desktop processor, will it still be a Santa Rosa plateform?
Any idea of the price? I'm waiting for info about this model before purchasing, so if it's going to be too expensive, I will go for a G1.
Thanks if you have some more info... -
Ouch? Hehe, I'm waiting for the z37! -_______-
-
what the hell is that big thing at the back of the c90? is it removable?

I suggest you have a look at this thread, it contains a lot of information regarding the C90.

By the way it is not a battery, it is actually a vent with 4 fans for cooling. -
Its a four bad ass fan exhaust
-
It'd make a swell hairdryer for the person in front of you during a lecture >
-
I read the video card is:
nVidia GeForce 8600M GS/256MB MXM II v2.0 w/TTP
wonder how powerful that will be, or how upgradable it will actually be in the future. -
wearetheborg Notebook Virtuoso
It looks absolutely delicious !!!!
-
really really want the Z37!!! Im after something in that size but not too keen on sony. Centrino Pro + 8400 would be sweeeeeet!
Lets hope its available in the uk though as they dont even sell the W7 here
