I am looking to buy an ASUS Z62J barebones:

What memory number is it? (ie, PC- xxxx DDR2)

What problems are there with it?

Does anyone here own one, and do you like it?

ASUS website says that it only supports 4200 and 5400rpm SATA hard drives - this means it uses SATA-150, correct? Can I use a 7200rpm in it?

    Is it easy to assemble?

Does it come with a heatsink for the processor and video card inside it?

    Anything else I should know?

Probably not anyone here got it yet. It's an alright model. I think i got one similar to that one but with out gfx card.,

You can look in to Z37S for better look and portability. Available now @ ecaliberpc.com

Comes with bluetooth and Geforce 8400 video card.

    Things you have to buy:
    - CPU Santa Rosa T7100 7300 7500 will fit
    - RAM PC DDR2 200 pin for notebook 667mhz works fine.
    - Hard drive can up to 320GB with out any problem. SATA interface. I'd recommend getting 160GB 54k or 200GB . I got a nice ebay deal on 200GB 7.2k .
-Wireless card Minipci Express 3945 or 4965 for wireless N i'd say get the 3945 since they're pretty cheap 4965 has 3 antenna but won't see much improvements. and they cost around 45$- 50$.
    - And last one is DVD slim burner. can get from newegg.com

    - Cost to build barebone sometimes higher than buying the one build by manufacturer, it's your choice. And using ebay can help you save alot on parts like HDD and CPU.

    - Comes with heat sink and fans everything. Parts you need is i listed above
