Thinking about getting 14" Built on Asus notebook.
I don't know if it's worthwhile to pay extra get the Z61a over Z63a.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the differences are:
    Different motherboard
    A smaller casing

One more thing, I read on some other post that the Z63a is getting a different Matte style screen. So does that mean, they are discontinuing the glossy screen.

Actually the cost of the Z61 and Z63 are identical. The biggest difference and why both are offered is that the 63 has a glaretype widescreen and the 61 has a matte type regular ratio....

The 63 is NOT getting any sort of different screen. The glaretype colorshine screen that's on them is more advanced than a matte type display, but some people have different wants and needs. You can look at the dimensions on our site, but you're not really talking about "smaller" when talking about either model. They've got different ratio screens so their dimensions are different, but really about the same if you sort of consider the volume they would both take up.

Other than that, they both have the same features....... of course the have different motherboards, every notebook has it's own motherboard design to fit the design of the notebook....
