    Hi,

I have an Asus Z70va and when I tap it lightly on the bottom centre the screen goes black. It can be turned on again by pressing the hot key that turns the monitor on and off again. Just curious if anyone knows what might be up.

    Thanks

Interesting... what exactly do you mean by the "bottom centre"? Do you mean the bottom centre of the LCD bezel? or the palm rest?

If it's the bottom of the LCD... it probably means there's a loose connection, and when you tap on it, it turns the LCD backlight off. The Fn+F7 hotkey doesn't turn the monitor on/off... it turns the BACKLIGHT of the monitor on/off. So, if it really bugs you, you could try to open up the bezel/lid of the LCD panel and try to tighten the connection... if could also be faulty wiring.
