    well, i failed a few install attempts, my report is at
    asus-z81k.com

    the display had these strange lines/artifacts when i moved around windows, it happened on Suse the most.

    i couldnt get debian to detect my ethernet during the netinstall but that bug just might have been fixed, im not 100% sure.

    anyway i eventually installed xp-64 and the lines are nonexistant but i dislike MS so i must get a working linux install without those buggy lines.

    the APIC is buggy on this bios and i have been trying to figure away to mod this incredably crippled bios, unfortunatly modding an asus bios is very difficult. it is an ASUS/AMI bios. a .a4k

    anyway if anyone igures anything out post
