    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here can answer the following questions for me.

    1. Does the notebook get hot?
    2. Is the fan loud?
    3. Is the keyboard loud when typing in quiet areas.
    4. Asus advertises this unit as 6.6lbs. I find it hard to believe because from my point of view, the M6N looks sort of bulkier than the Z9000 and weighs 5.6lbs. Therefore, is the notebook heavy to lug around? I plan on taking this notebook everyday to my classes.
    5. Due to the limitation of 1024x768 res on a 15" screen, do fonts look bad? Is the screen good?
    6. Is the battery life good?

I'm planning to use this notebook during University. Furthermore, is the Radeon 9100 IGP better than Intel Extreme Graphics 2?

What software/peripherals came with this notebook?

    Thanks for your time. [:I][:I][:I]

okay from playing with this unit at a notebook shop... i can say its
a very good notebook for the price u pay for... yes the screen isn't
as high res as the m6n... but ur saving atleast 400cdn and at as a
student i know every penny counts... heres my take on the notebook
-screen is good for fonts and general gfx, running quake3 and such
goes pretty smooth but if u try farcry or sumfin that is more geared
towards a desktop den it'll give u lag...
-one important thing is this is an ATI chipset instead of INTEL
meaning it is not CENTRINO... the only component that is INTEL
is the processor... the builtin wireless lan is 11mbps NOT 54mbps
-it isn't loud, its moderate but i'm use to delta fans on my desktop
so in a way i'm deaf :p... but the notebook is not hot but warm
its pentium M so its way better den nething AMD based...
-keyboard does not have glitches, unless u press really hard
-as for weight i'd say its about the same as the m6n
-resolution is good for what you pay for... this is a notebook
that is made for students imo, its better than an AVERATEC
