I've been struggling to figure out my new setup for some new monitors including a new docking station. So first question, will the Intel 4600 support these monitor setups if I choose:

    • Two 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) - displays one from laptop and one to 4k monitor?

    • Laptop Monitor at 4K plus Two 2560 x 1600 displays

Also, does it matter if you use a Thunderbolt, UBS 3.0 , or HDMI cable to achieve each display configuration?

And has anyone found a great working docking station that could work with external 4K monitor

    1. Yes.
    2. No, only 1 analog + 2 digital channels are supported at the same time. Because there's no native VGA, and the use of DP converter to VGA is using digital-to-analog conversion therefore only 2 displays can be used at the same time. However, if you can get an USB 3.0 to digital output then you can add support for 3rd monitor.
