So I opened my laptop this morning and the laptop's screen is suddenly completely pale. The colors are all faded and have a white tint to them. My brightness is turned all the way up.

I haven't ran any tests, but I assume this is a hardware problem? What would cause this and is there any fix or do I need to send my laptop into Asus?

Send in your laptop. Sounds like the LCD has given up the ghost.

That or one of the display channels so half the pixels are white. I agree on sending it in.
