I have a bought an Asus laptop before from the amazon site, exactly because of the matte screen 1080p resolution. But for this particular model, there is only one seller at the moment that ships to the US and they don`t discount the VAT, so it turns out to be around 200 dollars more. However, when there is a seller that returns the VAT, the price can be comparable, usually a bit more because of the pound, everything there is priced higher.

 

I personally opted for the XPS 15 with FHD matte display and with the bigger battery...bought a refurbished from ebay, decent price. I wanted the Asus, but the high resolution glossy screen doesn´t interest me.
