    Hi guys

I’m experiencing some weird problems with my Zenbook UX21, I’ve owned it for about 6 months now and it has given me no troubles however yesterday I discovered that the laptop’s built in battery module may be broken. Whenever I remove the power plug the laptop instantly turns off (like when you pull the plug from a desktop computer) and doesn’t power on anymore without the charger. When I log back into windows and I look at battery percentage it says 99%.

This problem literally happened overnight and only a couple of days ago it was fine and I was getting a good 5-6 hours out of it everyday on one charge.

Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

    Thanks

I doubt this will help. I think it is a defect of the internal battery charging unit, whereever this is located, or a loose battery connection. I believe you have to RMA it.

I have the same problem but its very random on my UX31E. I believe it has to due on mine when its set to High Performance power option. It doesnt happen when my power option is set to Battery Saving. Like I said it doesnt happen everytime. I reformat my drive and its still happening. I have more problems on the Zenbook then any other notebooks I own. Its a piece of crap!

I have the same issue and after googling, seem that ASUS have that issue for almost their zenbook. Should to say goodbye to ASUS products ...
