    Hey.

I bought my UX32A a few months ago, and have had all of the following problems since day one, but haven't had the time to fix them because of school.

My first problem is that when I have the computer in sleep mode, it often times just shuts off all of a sudden. This happened to me three times in a week before I found a semi-solution to it. I had to change from sleep mode to hibernation, but in order to do so I had to delete the touch-pad program, because if I didn't, the laptop just switched back to sleep mode again the next time I used it. So without that program and drivers my touch pad sucks, and I can't use sleep mode.

My second problem is that about half of the time I turn my laptop on, the fan goes completely nuts. It goes full speed for 2-3 minutes while slowly slowing. This happens mainly within the first 15 minutes after it has been turned on, and only happens once per start-up.

    Thank you for your time.

    Cheers!

    Hey Ezpeen,

You might be in need of a BIOS update: ASUS ZENBOOK UX32A - Notebooks & Ultrabooks - ASUS

Thankfully, none of this sounds like a hardware malfunction. Did you happen to check your Windows Power Options and/or Power4Gear options regarding the sleep problem?
