    Hi

I have this notebook from ASUS, UX501JW-CN484T.

Today I have 8 GB of RAM, 1 SSD M.2 and 1 HDD of 1 TB. I want to upgrade RAM to max. Can I replace the present 4 GB RAM with an 8 or a 16 GB RAM module?

The SSD is a Samsung SATA 128 GB. Does it support a 500 GB SATA? It is an M.2 slot but I don’t think PCI is working on this ASUS.

You have 4GB soldered to the board and 4GB in a slot I presume? The max you can go without breaking the bank should be 12GB. 20GB is theoretically possible but it gets expensive (16GB RAM sticks aren't cheap)

    Hi
    Correct, I have 4+4GB. So 20GB is possible (4+16)?

If you find a 16GB DDR3 SODIMM stick, supposedly so. Though I'd say it's cheaper and more certain to go for 12GB

About $200 for 16GB and $80 for 8GB in Sweden.

    Ny info about this:
The SSD is a Samsung SATA 128 GB. Does it support a 500 GB SATA? It is an M.2 slot but I don’t think PCI is working on this ASUS.
