Ok, after much shopping and some great recommendations from people on the boards I decided to get the A8JP, BUT I wont be placing my order til Tue or Wed depending on how long it takes for some finance stuff to work out.

My major question is does anyone know if Asus is releasing a laptop comparable to the A8JP with Vista preinstalled? I love windows XP but I just dont wanna go through the hassle doing the upgrade. free upgrade order. Has anyone experienced it? is it prety fast and reliable?

I got my A8JP last week and the process of getting the vista cd was a cinch. it took about less than 10 minutes just to fill out a simple form and it costs like $6 for the S&H. Because A8JP had media center edition I will be receiving the vista home premium version of vista.

also there's an asus vista sticky thread for drivers once u get ur vista u want to make sure u'r up to date on that because it appears that asus is rolling out drivers pretty quick at the moment. hope that helps
