I am in the market for a Asus laptop - my first laptop. I am however in question about the touchpad. It is a very big "IF" for me on the touchpads. I am specifically talking about the feel - physical feel of the touch pad to finger. On Toshiba, Sony vio, and maybe Lenovo the touch pad has a grainy (non smooth feel) allowing your fingers to glide with ease. However laptops like HP, or Compaq have glassy touch pads causing my fingers to stick.

I am just curious what laptop is the Asus touchpads comparable to?

I have a textured touchpad on the V6J and I actually find that the glossy touchpad on the M6Ne is better.

But I'm not sure it's the texture on the V6 that's making it worse :)
