    How can i know if my notebook has got intel turbo memory and what advantage does it really have?

    It should show up in the device manager. Pretty much none.

    i cant see it but this: Intel(R) ICH8 Family PCI Express Root Port 3 - 2843. a lot of info on the net say that it is the responsible for the turbo memory module. what conclusion can i draw from this?

    xp will not recognize yer turbo mem..

    only vista does... i' doubt you'll notice much diff any way or the other since vista is so bloated to begin with..

    i do find xp to be faster than vista.. i'm running 4GB ram now.. only 3GB showing but its noticeable faster than stock..
