Wrong section, move to Wireless/Networking please.

Also remember vladgrig you're wrong to ask which routers work well with Asus notebooks. It all depends on what kind of wireless card you have in your notebook.

So ask which wireless cards work best with which routers.

    Okay? Okay.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Okay since you believe it has to do with the brand of notebook and not the wireless card, I"ll save everyone the trouble.

Basically vlad you're going to have to match the technology the wireless card uses with the technology the router is using to get maximum benefits of those bonus features like speed boosters.

If you don't care and just need a great signal with range, pick up an Atheros wireless mini-PCI card for your new Asus notebook to replace the Intel one and then pick up any router that is suggested in the wireless section of this site.

I have a Belkin Pre-N router to use at home with my Atheros wireless card. I live on the 4th floor of my apartment and I can use my wireless connection all the way at a park about a block away with all the other wireless interference from the neighbouring apartments.

So my setup is pretty darn good.

Hope that helps and please post networking questions in the networking/wireless section of the site please.

I say this because what you're asking is not an Asus question, it's a networking question.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Edit:: Okay vlad, I don't think you understand what I've been saying in the above post and in your other thread. THIS IS NOT ASUS RELATED, YOU'RE ASKING WHICH ROUTERS WORK WELL WITH YOUR WIRELESS CARD~!!!!!!!! JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ, KNOCK KNOCK ANYONE HOME???

    No problem vlad. :)

And again you said, "which routers put on the list to buy...especially with Asus."

Come on man, please read the posts that others make carefully.

Having an Asus has nothing to do with your wireless connection and how it will work with routers.

IT IS THE WIRELESS CARD INSIDE THE ASUS THAT MATTERS~!!!!!!! Asus notebook usually come with Intel wireless cards just like many other Centrino and Duo-Core notebooks. Unless you specify what kind of wireless card you want in your notebook, it will most likely come with an Intel.

    *sigh*
