Hey all, Im looking to buy a notebook in early July, After having a really aweful experience with my Sony notebook I'm strongly leaning towards Asus as my next laptop. Have they made any announcements or told any dealers about any upcoming models? Will they just do a refresh with the new chipset or design a new series for them?.

MileStonePC just posted a thread with a bunch of pics of some new notebooks. That might be a start. Anything in particular you are looking for (i.e. ultraportable, or desktop replacement)?

Mid range, Im a uni student but I do alot of 3d work. I currently have a 15.4" which I love the size of, Might be able to go down to a 14.1 provided it had a big keyboard (Ive got massive hands)

Might want to take a look at the V2Je, which is a 14.1". It only has a Radeon X1450, but with the Santa Rosa release, Asus might refresh it to a V2Js or something with the Geforce 8400, which equals a current Geforce 7600/Radeon X1600.

If Asus does that, the V2 is my next notebook :)

Hey Fren are the 8400's really equal to the 7600? Because Notebookcheck says that the 8600GT is barely more powerful than the 7700 and I couldn't imagine the 8400 being right under the 8600GT. But I think that they were using a poor computer with bad BIOS or something like that cuz I was looking at their review for the Samsung M60 and they were demolishing it.
