    Asus and WiDi

    I've recently been looking at the Asus U36SD and U31SD but I can't seem to find whether or not they support Intel Wireless display. The Intel requirements page seems to be a bit out of date as certain other laptops which do support WiDi don't have a processor from that list.

    I know Asus has their own WiCast but it's an external dongle so not really that convenient.

    I just looked at my system information (u36sd-dh51) and it looks like I have an Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter.

    I assume you would need to replace your wireless card with one of the ones listed in that link. I would look into external dongle options first though. The technology is still in it's infancy so you won't find many displays hooked up to widi receivers yet.
