My main question about the G73 is....does it have that horrid trackpad that the Best Buy G72 has?

Some words, Build quality is nowhere near Alienware, and the trackpad is ok but the buttons are horrible.

Han, is it possible to ask what the retail price for the NX90 going to be?
I'm curious to see how much Asus/B&O has overcharged for this laptop :p

I've never fondled an Alienware so I can't comment on that comparison but I know compared to my old Gateway FX's and my Studio XPS the G73 has superb build quality (apart from the crappy rubber feet).

Nice, maybe I expected too much :p
but since I heard a lot of good things about Studio XPS' build quality, I'm satisfied.

Han is right about the trackpad button though - it's not nice.

BTW - shouldn't we keep the G73 chat to the G73 thread?

I hope nobody was expecting it to be built like an Alienware. That would be nearly impossible given the low price of this system.

No, the Alienware is all Anodized aluminum. This Asus is all rubberized surface with plastic internal structure, nowhere near as solid as the Alienware, however it's better than most other 17.3'' laptops.
