Asus batteries... accessories? or not?

Im planning on buying the Asus F3 Series F3KA-A1 Notebook and it comes with a 6 cell battery. Is there somewhere that sells a ASUS 9/12 cell battery for this model? ive been searching but haven't found any luck and dont really know to much about laptop batteries to see if other asus batteries will fit...
Do they even sell larger size batteries or am i stuck with this 6 cell on my flight to iraq? Im hoping someone out there can help or have some input...

You are forbidden by law to use notebook on your flight...

 

every airline has their own rules.. and what law are u talking about... maybe china air. But last I was on a plane you cannot use electronic devices only during taxi, landing, and take off. As long as wi-fi isnt on or your not searching for internet access during flight then you can use electronic equipment.

Anyone can confirm this? Ive flown from korea... philippines... japan... and all over the west coast and havent heard a ban on laptop usage during flight and I say again every airline has their own rules on electronic usage.

 

Er,maybe you are right you can use them besides landing and taking off .

 

The Asus estore has the 9-cell battery for sale... but it's for the F3J-series. You may want to double check whether the battery will fit in the F3K before purchasing.

I haven't flown internationally, but every flight I have been on has allowed in flight use (not during take off, landing, and taxi) minus the use of wireless devices or radios. That means no WiFi and no Bluetooth. However, there is talk that these bans might change (that will be a while though).

 

I have flown internationally (not through US though) and indeed, as long as radio devices are off, it's ok to use the laptop during cruise flight.

Some companies have different rules. And different rules might apply to different manufacturers. I know a case, for instance, where in-flight use of Sony equipment was forbidden, because Sony is not complying with the safety regulations.

 

firs ttime i hear of a 9 cell battery for f3 series. they were never sold through distribution. never sold the f3j due to inherent issues but i think its battery is identical to f3k and f3s
