    Hello all,

I have an Asus U36 and I am very happy with the Power4Gear utility, as it gives me more than 10 hours of battery life on the minimal settings. However, there is a small problem with it:
The 'battery saving desktop' does not remember any settings. For example, once you remove the auto-hiding of the taskbar (I hate auto-hiding!), this option becomes active again the next time I turn the battery saving mode on. Similarly, the desktop wallpaper and any other customization is never saved beyond the current session.

Does anyone else have the same behaviour? And is here any trick to get rid of it?

(I just installed the latest driver for Power4Gear -- nothing changed).

    Thank you.

SuperAtom. AFA the wallpaper changes, I do not think there is a way to alter that behavior, I simply removed Power4Gear and use the balanced power plan (1 of the 3 standard win 7 plans)
I never noticed auto hide being changed when using any of the 3 windows power plans.

Thank you for a quick reply.

There is a less radical solution which is to turn off the battery saving desktop in the Power4Hybrid settings, but I wonder how much will that reduce my battery life.
