Asus seems to be one of the best and most value wise brands on the market right now, in all categories. They offer some of the best quality mainstream as well as enthusiast computers. With their industry leading warranty and their excellent customer service, purchasing an Asus over anyother brand seems to be a good idea. Who here is happy with their Asus experience?

They are a major 'underground' competitor, and offer many good options straying away from the big market brands.

They're not for everyone though, but they're always an option.

Like Cori said, good alternative for those who don't like mainstream laptops.

My only regret is the battery issue that has plagued Asus. I do have to say though, their support is actually trying to work with me on a fix.

Someone make this a sticky so other people bound to purchase an Asus know how the experience is...

The issues I dont like about mine, are the not being able to do a hibernate correctly and week battery life.

I'm perfectly happy with my G1s... even with that underclocking problem.. It hasn't slowed me down a single bit.

I really like Asus as a brand. I also think their notebooks are very well designed internally from what I've seen assembling a few. However, I don't own one because I couldn't find a single one without a major flaw....whether that flaw be ergonomics, looks, value or specs. (Admittedly, I absolutely abhor gray chassis's with black keyboards and Asus has been in love with that style for years.)

I wasn't too happy at first, hit some bumps in the road with some nagging/annoying problems, but I just reloaded mine with vista ultimate x64 and the problems just disappeared. And I get to make full use of my 4 gig of ram to run autocad, photoshop and a ton of other apps at the same time. :)
